RISM A-Z: Elena Pozza-Sorgo (1784 – 1865)

Elena Pozza-Sorgo (1784 – 1865) was a member of a noble family from Dubrovnik. Besides Croatian, she was fluent in Italian and Latin. She wrote poetry, played piano, and made some attempts in composition: thus she is the first Croatian female composer whose compositions are preserved.
