Rediscovered: A New Woman Composer is Born

In the course of the project Court Church and Royal Private Music Collection at the SLUB Dresden, the anonymous aria "Per costume o mio bel Nume" (D-Dl Mus.1-F-49,12-12; RISM ID no. 212008692) could recently be identified as a work by Princess Maria Carolina of Savoy (1764–1782).

Rediscovered: Karl Friedrich Abel Manuscripts Found in Poland

Two new sources for works by Karl Friedrich Abel (1723-1787) have recently been found by Sonia Wronkowska in Poland, in the library of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (PL-Pu), originating from the Maltzan family palace in Milicz (formerly Militsch).
