Rediscovered: Rare performance of Mangold's Tanhäuser

The romantic opera Tanhäuser by Hofkapellmeister Carl Amand Mangold (1813-1889) will once again be staged—for the first time in over 150 years. Mangold, a contemporary of Richard Wagner, set his version of the Tanhäuser legend to music at the same time as Wagner.
