Richard Chesser Dabei seit: 24.11.2010 Beiträge: 4	Dear all I hope as many members of the national working groups who are attending the IAML conference will be able to attend this meeting of the Advisory Council. I would be very pleased to learn of topics that members would like to put on the agenda for discussion. I have a few suggestions of my own, including providing a demonstration of the digitisation project based on B1 material which has been taking place in the UK for the last few months. This raises lots of issues about how to deal with printed materials in an online RISM environment - such as: -ID numbers for records from multiple contributors; -how to expand existing RISM numbers from A1 as new editions or variants come to light; -how to identify links between editions; -what cataloguing rules and conventions we should observe; -how to treat separate items within a publication - either as parent / child or analytical within one record; -and the fundamental issue of record structure - whether to create separate records for each copy of an edition, or whether to attach holdings records to a central bibliographical core record. And of course Klaus will have updates no doubt to give us from the ZR eg about the RISM OPAC. So, please let me know of any other things that you would like to discuss. If you circulate them in advance via this forum, then that will give us time to prepare for the meeting. I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Dublin.
